Hope Bourman

Grade 2

Experience: I taught three years during the 1970's, grades K-3. I started teaching at Resurrection in the fall of 2004.

Education: Dr. Martin Luther College, B.A., 1976. In 2003, I took courses to meet state licensure requirements. Since then, I have been taking courses through Minnesota State Mankato in pursuit of a Reading License Specialist Licensure.

I was born and grew up on a dairy farm in beautiful Hudson, New York. After college I taught in Niles, Illinois. I also lived in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Minnesota. In Houston, Texas, I had the special privilege to share God's word and English with Vietnamese families who were new to America.

My husband Jim and I have seven children and three grandchildren. Our oldest son is a pastor in Fort Worth, Texas. Two sons and a son-in-law are seniors at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary and, Lord willing, will graduate in May to be pastors. One daughter is a teacher's assistant in Milwaukee, another works for ABC Industries here in Rochester (she has Down's Syndrome), and a third is attending Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato. Our youngest is in eighth grade here at Resurrection.
