Karen Broring

Kindergarten

Experience: I graduated from Dr. Martin Luther College with a B.A. degree in 1987. I taught first and second grade in Lewiston, MN for four years. For the next 16 years I was a Family Childcare Provider. This is my first year as the Kindergarten teacher at Resurrection Lutheran School.

I was born in Milwaukee, WI and attended WELS schools for grades K-12. After two years at the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, I traveled to Minnesota to attend Dr. Martin Luther College. I then lived for five years in Lewiston, MN. After that, my family and I lived in Beaver Dam, WI for two years. In 1995, we moved to Rochester, MN.

My husband Bob and I were married in Lewiston, MN in 1988. We have three children: Zechariah (1989), Elizabeth (1995) and Hannah (2000). My husband is the operations manager for Arrow Ace Hardware. Our son Zechariah is a student at Martin Luther College and our daughters are students at Resurrection.

I enjoy participating in music. I direct the Adult and Sunday School choirs at Resurrection and also play the the organ. At home, I enjoy reading, scrapbooking, and taking care of my family.
